900 Years of History South of Market

In preparation of a talk at the SF Public Library tonight with photographer Janet Delaney, Janet and I have been digging into online resources about South of Market (If you are interested in buying her book, you can order it here). She found this fantastic piece published by SFMoMA that looks at 900 years of history on their site. The most interesting image from the post is this graph that tracks the various populations that have lived on Third Street going back to the year 1110:
